Patricia “Patty” Louise Nagy, 87, Green Bay, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021. She was born on July 2, 1934 in West Virginia to Michael and Mary (Mandich) Yobbagy.
Patty was raised in Weirton, WV and graduated from Weirton High School, Class of 1952. After high school, she worked for a short time for Weirton Steel in the secretarial pool. In 1957, Patty met Julius “Jules” Nagy on a blind date, and they hit it off. They were married in 1958 and spent 63 wonderful years together. Patty was a very loving mother and grandmother.
She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and was awarded the Order of the Yellow Rose for over 15 years of dedicated service to the community. Before Patty passed, she was one of two living members left in Green Bay.
Survivors include her son, David Julius Nagy and his wife, Rebecca Clifford of Hobe Sound, FL; grandchildren: David Julius Nagy II and his wife, Leah Kordaz of York, PA; and Daniel Aaron Nagy of Seattle WA; great- granddaughters, Mia Grace Nagy and Harper Juliana Nagy of York, PA; and her brother, Richard Yobbagy of Weirton, WV.
Patty was preceded in death by her husband, Jules; her son, Daniel William Nagy; parents, Mary and Michael Yobbagy; brother, Michael Yobbagy; parents-in-law, Ann and Julius Nagy; and brother- in-law, Thomas Nagy.
Visitation will be at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2771 Oakwood Dr., from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Saturday, September 18; followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. Burial will take place in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
