James Bartolovich

James Douglas Bartolovich of Weirton passed away Friday, April 9, 2021, at the Weirton Medical Center; he was 76 years old.

Born in Steubenville, OH, on August 30, 1944, the youngest of two sons to Matthew and Alice (Suray) Bartolovich.

James worked for the Weirton Steel Corporation, where he retired from the Blooming Mill. All who knew him would say he was very kind-hearted and was generous to a fault. Under his senior picture from Weir High School, his classmates wrote, “Worth maketh the man.”

James was a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union. During the summer, you could find him in front of his television during baseball season, watching his favorite team, the Philadelphia Phillies.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Stephanie “Tessie” Bartolovich.

He will be remembered with love by his son, Richard Ralich; daughter, Lori Gresko; granddaughter, Stefani Gresko; brother, Matthew ( Betty) Bartolovich; his nephew and godson, Matthew Bartolovich; and his significant other, Carey Robinson, all of Weirton.
