Patty Jean Mott DiDonato, 82, of Weirton, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s (Cheryl) home on Saturday, July 25, 2020.
Patty was born on August, 28, 1937 in Ellenboro, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Lester Mott and Helen Neely Mott Sill, and her step-father James Sill. She was also preceded in death by her husband Donald and her granddaughter Nadine DiDonato.
She graduated from Weir High School in 1955. Patty was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church, where her parents were founding members. She loved hosting family holidays and celebrations.
Patty was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Pirates and the WVU Mountaineers.
She is survived by her daughters Cheryl Rada (Jeff) of Suwanee, GA, and Nancy Yerushalaim (Yehuda) of Las Vegas, NV, and her son, David DiDonato of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren Leah Yerushalaim of Los Angeles, CA, Ben Yerushalaim of Las Vegas, NV, Justin Rada of Suwanee, GA, Cari Rada of Suwanee, GA and Sydney DiDonato of Charlotte, NC; her sisters Peggy Kwasnik of Broomfield, CO, Sue Palacios (Jaime) of Las Vegas, NV, and sister-in-law Sharon Droppleman (Larry) of Weirton. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as her beloved cat, Misty.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, private services will be held at a later date.
