Lori A. (Cook) Underwood, 46, of Weirton, WV, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2020, at the Weirton Medical Center.
She was born March 26, 1973, in Steubenville, OH, the daughter of Herb and Bonnie (Carson) Cook of Weirton, WV.
Heaven just got a beautiful angel. Lori was welcomed into heaven by her beloved maternal grandparents, Conrad and Wanda Carson; and her beloved maternal great-grandparents, Fred and Lena Fox. Also, paternal grandparents, Samuel and Anne Cook.
Surviving besides Lori’s parents, are her sons who she loved so dearly, Devin M. Cook and Zachery S. Underwood of Weirton, WV; brother, Christopher Cook and his wife Amanda; and niece, Arianna of Pittsburgh, PA; and her pets, Sasha and Clyde.
Lori graduated from Weir High School and attended West Liberty State College. She worked for many years for Clarence West Karate and Limo Service in Wintersville, OH.
Lori was recognized at the Master West Memorial Hall of Fame Tournament for her continued support and dedication to the martial arts and to the S.O.M.A. Organization, and as an honorary member into the S.O.M.A. Hall of Fame. She felt so honored to receive that.
She loved music and had a beautiful singing voice and sang for many different occasions. She was a very talented artist, great at gardening, crafts and genealogy. She loved spending time with her family and was so proud of her Irish heritage.
Lori was a wonderful mom, daughter, sister, sister-in-law and friend. She was called to heaven much too young. We all loved her so very much and will miss her so very much.
Visitation and services were held at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home at 11 a.m., on Monday, January 13, 2020, with the Reverend Larry Barkley officiating. Interment was in Union Cemetery, Steubenville, OH.
