Jack Gaydos

Jack Andrew Gaydos, 78, of Weirton, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2019, at Valley Hospice of Steubenville.

He was born June 5, 1941, in Steubenville, he was the son of the late Andrew and Frances Cercone Gaydos. Jack retired form Weirton Steel with 37 years of service. Jack and his son, Keith, owned and operated Penn Avenue Collision in Chester, which he was very proud of his son’s business accomplishments.

He volunteered over 30 years as treasure for Oak Glen Touchdown Club. Jack was a friend to all, if you knew Jack, he was your friend.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Gaydos; son, Keith Gaydos of New Cumberland; adopted son, John DelGuzzo of East Liverpool, OH; sister, Shirley Washam and her companion, Anthony Vagnozzi of Weirton; and his beloved dog, Angel.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, from 4-8 p.m., at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton, where Parastas services will be held at 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, at the funeral home. Father Vasyl Symyon will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.
