Irene Grace Klasic, 92, of Wintersville, OH, died Thursday August 29, 2019, at Vienna Village in Pfafftown NC.
Irene was born December 15, 1926, to Ulysses T. Kreps and Ethel M. Wendelken Kreps. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles S. Klasic; and her brother, Jack Kreps.
Irene is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Barron; three sons, John Klasic Sr. and his wife Barbara of San Diego, CA, Richard Klasic of Steubenville, Michael Klasic and his wife Cheri of Pfafftown, NC; her brother, Frank Kreps and his wife Betty of Boardman, OH; nine grandchildren, Ken Maher, Todd Perron, Danielle Maher, Michelle Wharton, John Klasic Jr, Brittney Klasic, Trevor Klasic, Devin Klasic and Ciara Klasic; and nine great-grandchildren.
Irene graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Youngstown, OH.
She worked at Kaufman’s in Fort Steuben Mall for 20 years. She was a shining light and loved by all. She will be remembered as a lady with a lot of class a love for life and an abundance of laughter. She loved the game of golf, and spending time with family and friends, even the grand dogs found a place by her side always sneaking them a treat. A beautifully spirited lady that is now at peace and will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 13, from 3-6 p.m., at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, September 14, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Fort Steuben Burial Estates.
