School board meeting moved

TORONTO — The Toronto Board of Education has moved its next regular meeting from Thursday, which as Juneteenth is a state holiday, to 5 p.m. June 26 at the junior-senior high school library.

Weirton Council to meet

WEIRTON — Weirton Council will convene in a special meeting at 6 p.m., Wednesday, in the council chambers of the Weirton Municipal Building.

The agenda includes appointments to the Weirton Area Water Board.

Mingo utility meeting set

MINGO JUNCTION — A public meeting is scheduled for Wednesday on a utility rate increase for Mingo Junction residents, Mayor Judy Ruckman said. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the village building

Holiday collection change

STEUBENVILLE — Garbage collections will be affected by the Juneteenth holiday, Sanitation Director Bob Baird reports.

Baird said no trash will be picked up Thursday due to the department being closed in observance of Juneteenth. He said crews will do those collections on Friday instead.
