Top JCCS students announced
WINTERSVILLE — At the top of Jefferson County Christian School’s Class of 2025 are valedictorian Adrianna Corder and salutatorian Wyatt Hervey.
The school’s commencement program will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Wintersville Methodist Church’s Center of Hope.
Corder was named to the Principal’s List all four years and is a four-year letterer in volleyball and softball and a two-year letterer in basketball.
She was a member of Students for Life, the Math Club, Spiritual Life Committee and Worship Team and was involved in performing arts, participating in each year’s musical.
She resides with her grandparents, Scott and Wilda Corder of Cadiz.
Corder plans to major in nursing at Toccoa Falls College in Georgia, where she will play volleyball for the NCCAA Division II school, and become a certified registered nurse anesthetist.
Hervey was named to the honor roll all four years, lettered in baseball, basketball and soccer four years and golf one year, and was named Southwestern Christian Athletic Conference’s All-Star Soccer Player twice and the conference’s All-Star Baseball Player three times.
He was a member of the Chess Club and Spiritual Life Committee and participated in each year’s musical.
The son of Shawn and Tonia Hervey of Cadiz, he plans to study business and play varsity golf at Geneva College in Pennsylvania.
The Class of 2025 also includes Emma Abercrombie, Stephen Jenkins, Christopher Miller, Justin Nelson and Patrick Pizzoferrato III.
