Tax bills to be mailed in Jefferson County
STEUBENVILLE — Tax bills for the second half of 2024 will be mailed out later this month, according to Jefferson County Treasurer Raymond M. Agresta.
Agresta noted bills are set to be sent out May 28, and the final day for payment without penalty will be July 9.
Those who do not receive a bill should contact the County Treasurer’s Office at (740) 283-8572.
Officials encourage property owners planning to pay their bills by check or money order to mail their payments to P.O. Box 398, Steubenville, OH 43952. Payments also may be placed in the office’s drop box located on the alley side of the Jefferson County Courthouse. Credit or debit cards, along with e-checks, also will be accepted through an online payment at Jeffersoncountyoh.com, or by calling (877) 690-3729, using jurisdiction code 4577.
Agresta said CSG Forte Payment System, the service provider, charges a convenience fee for this service.
Agresta encourages those who usually pay with cash to use one of the above options for payment if possible.
Those who want a receipt must return the entire statement along with a self-addressed stamped envelope.
Agresta said questions concerning the JB Solid Waste Special Assessment can be directed to (740)266-6899.
