Roads to close for maintenance

WEIRTON — The Weirton Public Works Department has scheduled alternating road closures for St. Johns Road and Bennett Drive, for today, to allow for road maintenance.

The alternating closures will take place between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Power outage planned

WELLSBURG — Mon Power has announced a planned power outage, while crews perform work, that will affect 154 customers outside the city of Wellsburg from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today or in the event of rain, for the same hours on Thursday.

Affected areas will include Saddle Club, Pierce Run and McKinleyville roads, Irish Estates, McAdoo and Genteel ridges and Bethany Pike.

SVRTA services closed for Memorial Day

STEUBENVILLE — In observance of Memorial Day Monday, Steel Valley Regional Transit Authority will not be operating bus service, and the offices will be closed.

The regular schedule of services will resume on Tuesday.

Port Authority board to meet

STEUBENVILLE — The Jefferson County Port Authority Board of Directors will meet at 4:30 p.m. today in Suite 3 of the Jefferson County Tower Building, 500 Market St.
