Yard waste collection to begin

WEIRTON — The City of Weirton’s Sanitation Department will begin its seasonal collection of yard waste, beginning April 21.

Yard waste should be placed in marked, opened containers, separated from general household trash, and placed on the curb on residents’ garbage collection day. Materials will not be accepted in plastic bags or cardboard boxes. In addition, branches and limbs larger than one-half inch in diameter will not be accepted.
