Fifty-seven participants completed February’s 28-mile walking challenge presented by the Jefferson County General Health District and YMCA Wellness Center at St. John Arena. The JCGHD stated the Waling into Wellness program was “one of the best attended fitness events that the JCGHD has hosted in recent years” because walking is appropriate for all fitness levels, and the YMCA allowed participants to walk at any time during normal operating hours. During a drawing Feb. 28, participants received prizes donated by Edward Jones Financial Adviser Paul D. Sweeney II and Jefferson County Board of Health member Suzanne Brown.
