Steubenville man faces drug charges in W.Va.
COLLIERS — A Steubenville man is being held at the West Virginia Northern Regional Jail on pending drug-related charges following a search Tuesday of an Eldersville Road home.
Travis Gray Jr., 34, was arrested following the search conducted by members of the Hancock-Brooke-Weirton Drug Task Force, West Virginia State Police and the Brooke County Sheriff’s Department.
Brooke County Sheriff Rich Beatty said about 500 grams of cocaine, 400 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 77 grams of crack cocaine and an illegally possessed firearm were obtained through the warrant-supported search.
He said Gray was leaving the home at the time of the search and was arrested.
Beatty noted a warrant had been issued for Gray in Jefferson County for drug trafficking charges.
The Hancock-Brooke-Weirton Drug Task Force is comprised of members of the Weirton Police Department, Brooke and Hancock county sheriff’s departments, West Virginia State Police and federal Drug Enforcement Administration.
