Spring clean-up collection for Steubenville set
STEUBENVILLE — The city’s Sanitation Department will conduct its spring clean-up collection for Steubenville residents with active and current utility accounts.
This collection is limited to household items only and will take place on the scheduled dates only. All items are to be placed at the curb where regular trash collection occurs each week no sooner than the night prior to the scheduled collection. Once this schedule is completed, there will be no return trips.
The schedule includes:
• April 25: All streets on Labelle View.
• May 2: All streets on Pleasant Heights.
• May 9: South End — all streets from Market Street to the south city limit, from Spring Avenue to state Route 7 and including Lincoln Heights; North End — all streets from Alikanna to Market Street from 11th Street to state Route 7.
• May 16: All streets on the north side of Sunset Boulevard from Brady Avenue to the west city limit (including Brady Avenue).
• May 23: All streets on the south side of Sunset Boulevard from McCauslen Manor to the west city limits.
Collection services will not be provided to those who do not have an active and current utility account with the city, are found to be abusing the program, or place out for collection prohibited items, including:
• Tires of any kind.
• E-Waste (electronics): Computers, televisions, etc.
• Freon gases: Refrigerator, freezer, air conditioning unit, dehumidifier, etc.
• Hazardous wastes or etrochemicals; Fuels, oils, solvents, paint, etc.
• Construction material: Shingles, plaster/drywall, concrete, block, brick, etc.
