Port authority report available

STEUBENVILLE — The Jefferson County Port Authority’s 2024 financial report is complete and available for public inspection.

Fiscal Officer Gary Folden said public inspection is by appointment only at the port authority’s office, 500 Market St., Floor 1, Suite 3, Steubenville. Individuals should call (740) 283-2476 to schedule an appointment.

Quarter auction to benefit fair

WELLSBURG — A quarter auction to benefit the Brooke County Fair will be held April 13 at the Wellsburg Moose Lodge.

Doors will open at 12:30 p.m., with the auction to begin at 1:30 p.m. Admission is $5, which includes one paddle for bidding, with additional paddles available for $1 each.

Those who purchase tickets before April 1 will be entered into a special prize drawing. They can be obtained at the Brooke Hills Park clubhouse or Brookecountyfair.com or from any fair committee member.

The event also will include a Chinese auction, food for sale and free prizes.
