Councilman remembered

At its Jan. 27 meeting, Toronto Council and Mayor John Parker presented a resolution of sympathy to the family of former councilman Bob Anderson, who died Jan. 7. Anderson, who also worked for the city at times and was a Vietnam War Navy veteran, was remembered for his accessibility, fun-loving nature and support of local youth sports. On hand for the presentation were, from left, Renee Anderson, wife of Anderson’s son, Tim, and their daughter, Maddie; Dorothy Blaner, Anderson’s sister-in-law; Parker; Anderson’s wife, Janice; Anderson’s grandson, Bennett; and Anderson’s son, Tom, and his wife, Angie. — Contributed
