State Route 7 to close briefly

STEUBENVILLE — Motorists are reminded that state Route 7 northbound lanes will be closed briefly at the Washington Street intersection this morning while a contractor operates ground penetrating radar.

City officials say northbound traffic will be stopped sometime between 10 a.m and 11:30 a.m., but drivers shouldn’t be delayed more than 15 minutes.

The stoppage will allow city officials to evaluate the pavement in the northbound lanes between Washington and Logan streets, City Engineer Mike Dolak said.
