Route 7 lane closure set

STEUBENVILLE — The southbound left lane of state Route 7 will be closed from Washington Street to the south corporation limit from 7a.m. to 3 p.m. each day Monday through Nov. 8, the Public Works Department has announced.

Traffic will be maintained in the right lane throughout the work zone.

Motorists are advised to slow down, exercise caution, and be alert for traffic pattern changes. No delays are anticipated.

The lane closure is necessary for work crews to perform maintenance and remove vegetation along the center median of the roadway.

Forum planned Saturday

WEIRTON — A mayoral meet-the-candidate night and forum is being planned for 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday to be held in the fellowship hall of St. Thomas Episcopal Church.

The event was announced by Weirton mayoral candidate George Village.
