Taste of summer

Chatting with Maria Perez, left, of the Harmonium Project was Julia Lee of Steubenville, one of several pregnant women who agreed to serve as a judge for the group’s Pregnant Pie Contest at First Friday on Fourth Street. Ten pies of various flavors were entered into the contest, which was inspired by the idea that a pregnant woman’s sense of taste is heightened. The monthly street fair will return Aug. 5.
