Four facing drug charges after arrest in Weirton

WEIRTON — Four individuals were arrested on drug-related charges Friday afternoon, following a search conducted at a Weirton business.

According to information from Weirton Police Chief Charlie Kush, officers executed a search warrant at the Den of Foxes, 3068 Main St., at approximately 3:30 p.m. Friday, locating narcotics and drug paraphernalia on the premises.

Those taken into custody, according to the report, were Davon Kasseem Malik James of Weirton; Raheem Tarik Lewis, 27, of Waterberg, Conn.; Daquan Darryl-Marquis Selby, 27, of New York, N.Y.; and Tara Lance-Ogburn, 48, of Georgetown, S.C.

Reports from the Weirton Police Department indicate all four were arraigned through Hancock County Magistrate Court and are being held at West Virginia Northern Regional Jail.

James is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. No additional information was available through the West Virginia Northern Regional Jail.

Lewis faces charges of conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance and is being held on a $55,000 bond. Selby was arrested on charges of conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance and is held on a $55,000 bond. Lance-Ogburn is being held on a $15,000 bond on charges of possession of a fraudulent access device and possession of a drug abuse instrument.

In addition to the Weirton Police Department, the West Virginia State Police and the Hancock-Brooke-Weirton Drug Task Force participated in the search.

In an unrelated investigation, Friday morning, Weirton police arrested James C. Heilman, of 1029 Rice Blvd., Weirton, on three felony counts of wanton endangerment.

According to reports, officers were dispatched to Rice Boulevard at 7:30 a.m. Friday in relation to a neighbor dispute, with a resident reporting Heilman came out of his residence and shot a firearm three times from his front porch.

Officers executed a search warrant on Heilman’s address, locating a pistol and bullet casings.

Heilman was arraigned through Brooke County Magistrate Court.
