Proceeds generated from drawings that will be held for gift baskets during Wednesday’s appearance by Eddie Olczyk as part of the Herald-Star Speaker Series Presented by Eastern Gateway Community Center will be split between the Teramana Cancer Center at Trinity Medical Center West and WVU Medicine — Wheeling Hospital. Baskets will include a Wheeling Nailers package including two season tickets for the 2021-22 season and team photo; a Penguins basket featuring a Kris Letang autographed puck, Phil Bourque book a Pens blanket and Iceburgh bobblehead; a fall basket; a basket that includes a Mike Eruzione Team USA jersey and photo; a basket featuring Olczyk’s book “Beating the Odds in Hockey and in Life” and autographed photos and Olczyk and his son, Tommy; and more. Cards featuring 25 entries for $20 are available at the Herald-Star office, 401 Herald Square, Steubenville, during regular business hours through Wednesday and will be available prior to the presentation, which will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Steubenville High School auditorium. Winners need not be present. General admission tickets to the presentation cost $25 and are still available. VIP and preferred ticket packages remain available.
