Networking agreement is reached
STEUBENVILLE — Trinity Health System physicians and Anthem Blue Cross-Blue Shield in Ohio have a new networking agreement.
The agreement, announced Tuesday, “will assure Ohio Valley consumers’ continued access to affordable health care at Trinity Health System hospitals, physicians and affiliated care providers through 2025,” the hospital said.
“Both organizations are pleased to continue their collaborative work to serve the community and we look forward to additional opportunities in the future to work together. This agreement means that Trinity Health System physicians will not go out of network as was previously communicated to Trinity patients with Anthem coverage.”
Without the agreement, Trinity physicians would have been treated as out-of-network after Thursday, thus limiting patient access and choice for thousands of people in the area.
