Winter grave decor needs removed

BLOOMINGDALE — All winter grave decorations are to be removed by April 1 at Bloomingdale, Unionport and Pine Run cemeteries.

Individuals who want to save their decorations should have them removed prior to that date. Otherwise, all decorations will be disposed of by the cemetery caretakers.

United Way applications open

STEUBENVILLE — The United Way of Jefferson County application process is now open to nonprofits for the funding year of 2022.

The organization offers grants focused on making an impact in the areas of education, income, financial stability and health and wellness, in addition to numerous other opportunities to fill service gaps or impact critical issues.

Deadline to return applications is 11 p.m. March 31. Applying nonprofits must be providing services in Jefferson County.

The allocations process is the cornerstone of United Way. It ensures fiscal and program accountability for all agencies receiving United Way funds while meeting the social services needs of our community.

Port authority meeting changed

STEUBENVILLE — The Jefferson County Port Authority Board of Directors meeting scheduled for March 10 will start at 5 p.m. instead of the originally scheduled 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Brooke-Hancock-Jefferson Metropolitan Planning Commission conference room.

Report available for review

STRATTON — The annual financial report of the Village of Stratton has been completed.

The report is available for review at the office of the Village Clerk in the Municipal Building, 136 Second Ave., Stratton.
