Hills Elementary food drive successful

Hills Elementary School’s canned food drive was successful and collected 2,300 non-perishable items for families in need. Student Senate Advisor Ashley Turnbull said it was the most the school has ever collected. Items were gathered outside the classroom and packages cleaned under COVID safety protocols before going to the Bay Six Project in Mingo Junction for distribution within the community. As a reward for their good deed, all of the students were treated to pizza while the top class also earned an ice cream party. Shown are student senate members busily gathering items at the school.
