Slideshow: Three new recruits join Steubenville Fire Department

Three new firefighters were sworn in Wednesday in City Council chambers, bringing Steubenville Fire Department to its full complement of 34. Fire Chief Carlo Capaldi said it was “exciting to get three people in here. I feel like we got three really good candidates.” Municipal Judge John Mascio administered the oath to John Andriano, of Wintersville, who has experience with the Wintersville Fire Department. His wife, Abby, held the Bible for his swearing-in.
