Harrison County Fair results

CHAMPION CHICKENS — The pen of three grand champion market chickens, weighing a total of 19.20 pounds, was raised by Adrianna Blazeski. Steve Stickles, a candidate for Harrison County prosecutor, was the buyer at $1,325. They were joined by Katherine Eberhart, junior fair queen. The price in 2019 was $700. -- Esther McCoy
CHAMPION RABBITS — Alexia Dennis raised the grand champion pen of three market rabbits, weighing 14.58 pounds, at the Harrison County Junior Fair livestock sale. Woodsfield Savings Bank was the buyer at $900, up $200 from the 2019 purchase. South Central Power donated an extra $200. Among those on hand for the auction were, from left, buyer Tracey Craig, Dennis and Katherine Eberhart, Harrison County junior fair queen. -- Esther McCoy
GRAND CHAMPION GOAT — Ava Huffman, in her second year of 4-H, raised the grand champion market goat that brought $1,225 from buyers Jerry Yeager of Border Patrol and Chris Vich of Willigus and Co. They were joined by Katherine Eberhart, junior fair queen. -- Esther McCoy
GRAND CHAMPION TURKEY — Isabel Yeager raised the grand champion market turkey that weighed in at 41.4 pounds. A group of four bought the bird at $2,300. Joining her were the buyers, from left, Darrin Young of D&E Electric, Justin Neely of JND Livestock, Dino Piergallini of Piergallini and Sons Equipment and Wilgus and Co. and Dusta Ryder of JND Livestock; and Katherine Eberhart, Harrison County junior fair queen. RESERVE DAIRY BEEF — Gracie Rogers raised the reserve champion dairy beef feeder calf that sold for $3.75 per pound to Homeland Realty in Freeport, Cadiz and Steubenville. She shared a moment with Katherine Eberhart, junior fair queen, and buyer Ann Milligan. -- Esther McCoy
RESERVE DUCKS — Katherine Eberhart, a member of the Shamrock 4-H Club and the junior fair queen, raised the reserve champion pen of two market ducks that were purchased by Randall Gallagher Memorials of St. Clairsville for $1,000. Justin Gallagher was the buyer. -- Esther McCoy
RESERVE MARKET CHICKENS — The reserve market pen of three market chickens was raised by McKenna Brown. The buyer was D&J Sales at $1,200. Joining her after the sale were, Lauren Knight; Jon Jones of D&J Sales and Service; Grayson Madzia; and Katherine Eberhart, junior fair queen. The 2019 price was $700. -- Esther McCoy
