Two new cases of COVID-19 reported in Hancock County
NEW CUMBERLAND — Two new positive cases of COVID-19 have been found in Hancock County
The Hancock County Health Department made the announcement on its Facebook page Saturday afternoon. The new cases bring the total number in the county to three.
No additional information was provided by the health department.
“Residents of Hancock County, we have to take this seriously. We have an older population of people. We cannot risk our entire population getting this virus. It will be tragic,” reads a statement on the health department’s Facebook page. “You must practice physical distancing. Stay home unless its absolutely necessary to go out. Check on your grandparents, elderly neighbors and family members to see if they need anything so they do not have to go out. Explain to your children why its not a good idea to play with friends or go play on the playground. They might be upset now, but they will understand later.”
