Wintersville United Methodist Church dedicates Center for Hope

Members of Wintersville United Methodist Church and hundreds of community members turned out to celebrate the completion of The Center for Hope, a 12,500 square foot addition to the church available for use by youth programs, nonprofit groups and other community purposes. A dedication for the addition included music, scripture and prayers shared by members and visitors of all ages. Among them were, from left, front: Wintersville Council President Robert Martin, who welcomed the center on behalf of village officials; Dave Evans, a member who made the cross behind them; church youth Autumn Aldridge and Torin Ricker, Susan Rayl, co-lay leader for the church; and Russ Grimm, who co-chaired a 40-member vision team for the project; and back: Tiffany Manley, the church’s director of youth ministries. The Rev. Clint Quillen, the church’s pastor; and the Rev. Bruce Hitchcock, superintendent of the United Methodist Church’s Ohio Valley District; were among many others who participated. The dedication kicked off a weekend of activities and special services planned by the church. (Photo by Warren Scott)
