‘Superheroes!’ on tap at Weir High

WEIRTON — The Weir High Drama Club will perform the play “Superheroes!” at 7 p.m. Nov. 22-23 and at 2 p.m. Nov. 24.

This comedy is a must see attraction for comic book fans. “Superheroes!” gives the audience a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the world’s favorite crime fighters. See the Incredible Hulk filing his taxes, Superman’s secret identity being discovered, Robin joining a sidekick support group, Batman seeking vengeance upon fast-food employees and more.

Younger audience members will have a chance to meet and greet their favorite superheroes after the show. Superheroes include the Black Widow (played by Lauren Licause), Superman (played by John Wansack), Spiderman (played by Alex Miller), Aquaman (played by Jason Lipovich), Batman (played by Matt Mosser), Robin (played by Matt Jagela), Wonder Woman (played by Delaney O’Neill) and the Hulk (played by Strider Hannen.)

Tickets are $10 at the door. Doors open 30 minutes prior to show times.

The play is written by Ian McWethy. Corey E. Miller, language arts teacher and Drama Club-Thespian sponsor, is directing the production. It is being produced by special arrangement with Playscripts Inc.
