Route 151 closed for tree trimming

HOPEDALE — Beginning Tuesday, state Route 151 will close during daytime hours for two weeks from Rabbit Road in Hopedale to the Harrison/Jefferson county line for crews to do tree-trimming work, the Ohio Department of Transportation reported.

The road will be closed from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. weekdays through Nov. 22, ODOT reported.

Drivers can take U.S. Route 22 west to U.S. Route 250, then east to State Route 150, east to state Route 152 and north back to state Route 151, ODOT reported. All work is weather permitting.

Yard waste

collection to end

WEIRTON — Nov. 15 will be the last day the city’s sanitation department will pick up yard waste, officials have announced.

Yard waste collection will resume in the spring. For information about the collection, contact the Public Works Department at (304) 797-8500, extension 3002 or 3003.

Pet photos with Santa planned

STEUBENVILLE — Pet photos with Santa Claus will be available at two locations in the coming weeks.

Photos will be taken from noon to 2 p.m. Nov. 16 at Rural King in the Tri-State Plaza and from noon to 2 p.m. Nov. 23 at the Jefferson County Humane Society shelter at 200 Airpark Drive, Wintersville.

The cost is $10 per photo, with proceeds going to the humane society.

Salem Township Trustees to meet

RICHMOND — Salem Township Trustees will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 18 for their reorganizational meeting for 2020 at the Glenn Mills Senior Community Center, state Route 7576 south, Richmond.

It will be followed by the regular meeting.
