WVNCC to host job fair on Weirton campus
WEIRTON — A job fair is set for the Weirton campus of West Virginia Northern Community College, providing an opportunity for area residents to connect with numerous local employers.
The event will be held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, and will be hosted by WVNCC in partnership with the American Job Center.
Job seekers will have an opportunity to learn more about the participating companies, while connecting directly with hiring managers and human resources professionals. Jobs will include seasonal, part-time and full-time work, as well as internships.
Employers currently registered as taking part are Weirton Medical Center; U.S. Census Bureau; Division of Corrections; CHANGE Inc.; W.Va. Laborer’s Training Trust Fund; Mancan; Lombardi Development Co. Inc.; Insulators Local 2; Mougianis Enterprises; Marsh Bellofram; Goodwill Industries; Republic Services; Serra Village Retirement Community; Pietro Forientini Inc.; and Bulldog Rack Co.
Also participating are agencies including West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation Services; Wheeling Vet Center; Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics; Eastern Gateway Community College; Council of Three Rivers; All State Career School; and the American Job Center.
There is no charge to attend the job fair, which is open to the public as well as WVNCC students.
Job seekers are advised to dress professionally and have plenty of resumes available to distribute to the participating employers.
