Funding to help build fire training center
The Encino Energy Community Partnership Program donated $20,000 to the Wintersville Fire and Rescue Thursday to help the department build Jefferson County’s first fire training facility. Currently, firefighters must travel to Wayne County to train. On hand for the presentation were, from left, Jackie Stewart, Encino’s director of external affairs; Fire Chief Robert Herrington; David Edwards, Encino’s director of environmental health and safety; Greg Butler, Encino’s health and safety superintendent; and Brian Klink, Encino’s environmental supervisor.
