STEUBENVILLE — Jefferson County Chapter 5 of PERI will met at noon Wednesday at YWCA, 320 N. Fourth St.

The meeting will include discussion about information concerning health insurance and cost of living adjustments.

County road work

STEUBENVILLE — Jefferson County Engineer James Branagan has announced several county roads will be closed for pavement repairs:

Hopewell Hill-Rush Run Road (county Road 4), will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday 0.3 miles south of county Road 17.

Sugar Grove Road (county Road 68), will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday 0.7 miles from the intersection of state Route 213 and county Road 51.

Fairplay/Seminary Road (county Road 36), will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday 2.4 miles north of state Route 152.

Body of missing boy with autism found

LIMA — Searchers in Ohio looking for a missing 8-year-old boy with autism have found his body in a pond.

Authorities say the body of Matthew Converse was discovered Sunday afternoon. He had been missing since just after midnight on Sunday.

Ex-coach who had sex with teen diver

COLUMBUS — A former Ohio State diving club coach accused of having sex with a diver when she was a teenager has been sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to sexual battery.

Estee Pryor says William Bohonyi began pressuring her for sex when she was 16. At a sentencing, Pryor told the judge she has lived with consequences of Bohonyi’s manipulation but he hasn’t been accountable.
