Steubenville city school board approves graduation list

STEUBENVILLE — The Steubenville City School Board Education approved the list of seniors who will be receiving diplomas at the high school’s commencement at Wednesday’s meeting.

The commencement ceremonies will be held at 7 p.m. on May 29 at Harding Stadium.

The board also approved at membership in the Ohio High School Association for 2019-20 school year.

The group approved a field practicum agreement with Franciscan University of Steubenville’s social work classes and an agreement with Bethany College for student teaching and field placement experience — both for the next academic year.

The board continued its affiliation with the Jefferson County Educational Service Center for the next school year.

In other business, the Steubenville City School Board Education:

¯ Approved $40,000 to Advance Caulking for work on Harding Stadium.

¯ Approved $22,976 to Carl Walker for work on the stadium.

¯ Agreed to allow JB Carroll to provided the railings in the stadium’s visitors’ section.

¯ Approved an agreement with the city of Steubenville to maintain the flags in front of the high school and Wells Academy.

¯ Approved a transfer in the amount of $21,932 from the general fund to the debt service fund.
