Arrests made following Wednesday drug busts

STEUBENVILLE — The Jefferson County Drug Task Force made two drug busts on Wednesday evening.

Sheriff Fred Abdalla said a house at 255 S. Sixth St. was raided, and two people inside the house were arrested. Devin Brandon, 22, of 300 Mildred Ave., Weirton, was charged with drug trafficking. Aaron Richmond, 22, of 490 S. Sixth St., was found with a gun and charged with carrying a concealed weapon.

Abdalla said an infant was inside the home and children services was contacted to remove the child. He said the inside of the house was in deplorable condition. The sheriff said cash and cocaine were seized during the raid.

A second bust happened a couple of hours later during a traffic stop in the city. Three people from Warren were arrested. Abdalla said a sizable amount of cocaine was found.

Charged with drug possession were Brittany Hudson, 25; Dominique Rose, 26; and Jason Kirksey, 39.

All five people are scheduled to appear in municipal court for arraignments.
