WINTERSVILLE — For the eighth consecutive year, Sorelle Bridal Salon will provide the main event at the 2018 Sparkling Moments Bridal Show.

According to Jeanie Lambert, owner of the Washington, Pa., salon, brides can expect to see a variety of styles on this year’s runway.

“Our focus is going to be on our bridal dresses,” she stated. “We will start with simple dresses and work our way to over the top. We will end with lots of glitz and glamour, which is typical at the Sparkling Moments Bridal Show.”

Boho-chic and opulent pieces are popular in the bridal world this year.

“These styles are total opposite ends of the spectrum, which is wonderful, because it gives brides more options to choose from,” Lambert said. “Boho-chic is more light weight and less structure. They are more comfortable, and a lot of brides are looking in that direction.

“The opulent pieces include bridal capes and bridal separates, such as detachable skirts,” she continued. “Brides are able to create their own look with different pieces.”

The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Florian Hall, and activities planned include a champagne luncheon; vendors; door prizes, including Sewickley Spa gift cards; a fashion show; and taste testing.

Brides will be admitted into the event free of charge and will receive goody bags, lunch and door prizes. Admission for guests will be $10.

The grand prize for this year’s event is a honeymoon trip to Cocoa Beach, Fla., courtesy of Todd Piergallini, and another lucky bride will win an overnight bachelorette party at Seven Springs Mountain Resort.

“We have been working with the show since its inception, and it has definitely been worth it,” Lambert noted. “It has been a wonderful experience. I love working with the vendors in the area and I really enjoy meeting these brides. It is neat because brides that we have seen in the past are bringing their family to visit our store. It has been incredibly rewarding.”

Organized by the Herald-Star and The Weirton Daily Times, this year’s event is presented with support from Hancock County Savings Bank.

“We’re excited about this year’s show,” said Cindy Kotsch, marketing and special events coordinator for the newspapers. “The show has become one of the most-anticipated bridal extravangazas of the season.”

The fashion show is set to begin at 2 p.m. Phil-Mor Tuxedo will display tuxes.

“We love working with the wonderful people of the Ohio Valley,” Lambert added. “Over the past years, the Herald-Star, St. Florian and we at Sorelle have been able to build an elegant bridal show that we are all very proud of.”

The vendors’ list includes Hancock County Savings Bank, Piergallini Catering at St. Florian Hall, Sorelle Bridal Salon, the Phil-Mor Tuxedo Outlet, Finest Events by Jonathan Mihellis, Clear Choice Photo Booth, Fairfield Inn and Suites Marriott, Simply Sweet Cakes, Bella Photography by Michelle, Follansbee Flower Shop, Hannah Barlow Photography, Mama G’s/Hellenic Hall, Katie Lynn Photography, Legal Hair and Day Spa, the Inn at Franciscan Square by Best Western, McDonnell Chiropractic, Holiday Inn Weirton, Snap Shop Photo Booth, Pure Romance/Diana Scott, Selfie Snaps LLC, Premier Designs Jewelry/Jessica Kelley, Something Blue Weddings, Diamond Lake Cabin Event Barn and Heavenly Coach Limos.
