Steubenville police

Cold shower: A State Street resident told police she poured beer on her live-in boyfriend during an argument and he kicked her, Saturday.

Drowsy: City and Wintersville firefighters were dispatched to aid a driver found slumped over his steering wheel in the 2800 block of Sunset Boulevard, Saturday. The man, who told police he fell asleep while awaiting a takeout order from a nearby business, was given a ride home.

Pile up: Officers responding to a disturbance at a Pennsylvania Avenue residence said they found a woman, her brother and another man in a pile on the floor, Saturday. The female told police the man was trying to kiss her and wouldn’t take no for an answer, so she defended herself. No one was interested in pressing charges.

Punched out: Two women got in a fight at a residence on North Sixth Avenue after one accused the other of stealing from a friend, Saturday. Police said they could smell alcohol on the breath of both women as well as a male with them, and there were empty beer cans and liquor bottles throughout the residence. One of the women had a lacerated lip and her face was swollen, but the male told police she’d been the aggressor.

Arrested: Michael R. Cvengross, 35, 1014 Jefferson St., Bergholz, domestic violence, Sunday.

Cited: Ronald Earley Sr., 88, 3109 Whitehaven Blvd., red light violation.

Arrested: Vincent L. Miller, 31, and Misty G. Barnes, 26, both of 511 North Fifth St., Toronto, both for domestic violence, Saturday.

Arrested: Kenneth D. Lloyd, 53, 322 North Sugar Street, Richmond, assault, Saturday.

Theft: A car stereo and catalytic converter were taken from a vehicle at a residence on township Road 62 in Hammondsville, Saturday. The side window of the vehicle had been broken two weeks earlier and was covered with plastic when the theft occurred.

Suspicious object: A blow dart was found on the porch of a home on county Road 55 in Brush Creek Township, Sunday.

Charged: Daniel E. Strang III, 59, 12 Pleasant St., driving under the influence and failure to control, Sept. 10.
