Anger issues: The owner of a vehicle parked in the 3500 block of Sunset Boulevard found a large dent and the passenger side tires flattened, Wednesday. The man said his ex-girlfriend had turned up at the residence around 6:30 a.m. and they’d argued.
Buff: A woman who broke a glass door to get back in her Dresden Avenue house said she was naked and her child’s father had locked her out because she stepped outdoors to call police, Wednesday. The woman said they’d been arguing because she wanted to go to a friend’s and he didn’t want her to go, and claimed he threw a plate of food and lemonade in her room. Police also spotted a hole in an interior door, which she said she’d done because her belongings were inside and she needed them. he said they fought because she wanted to go buy liquor as soon as she woke up.
Identity theft: A Union Avenue resident waiting for his Social Security check to arrive found out someone called to change the routing number and have the money deposited on a pre-paid card, Wednesday. Social Security employees told the man whoever changed his information had answers to all of his security questions. The victim said there’s only one person who would have had those answers.
Bike vs. auto: A man riding his bicycle on Adams Street was flown to UPMC Presbyterian after colliding with a motorist headed south on South Seventh St., Wednesday. Witnesses told police the biker flew down the sidewalk into the intersection and hit the car.
Smile for the camera: A woman whose car was parked at Third and Market said she saw a woman driving a white SUV hit it and leave the scene, Wednesday. The owner got the driver’s license number. Police said damages were minimal.
Arrested: Anita M. Rossi, 36, 403 Lee Road, Follansbee, warrant for felony theft, Wednesday.
Arrested: Michael J. Flinn, 41, 68 Green Acres, Mingo Junction, warrant for domestic violence out of District Court III and driving under suspension, Wednesday.
Cited: Nichole Melys James, 20, 723 Market St., Apt. G, Steubenville, no operator’s license and speeding.
Charged: Joshua D. Fisher, 32, and Amber D. Lane, 30, both of 537 North Fifth St., both for domestic violence, Saturday.
Charged: Robert J. Rice, 36, 1165 Nessley St., Empire, driving under the influence, driving while suspended and open container, Saturday.
Charged: Matthew Gooch, 36, 525 East Fernwood Drive, driving while suspended, Sunday.
Charged: David S. Lawson, 48, 1023 Federal St., failure control, leaving the scene of an accident and no operator’s license, Wednesday.
Cases cleared by Judge John Mascio recently in Steubenville Municipal Court include:
Jamie L. Louk, 39, 343 Skyview Drive, Wintersville: felony possession of drugs, amended to misdemeanor, attempted drug abuse, nine days in jail, one year probation, abstain from drugs and alcohol; first offense operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, fined $375; failure to control, fined $150; two misdemeanor counts of possessing drugs, obstruction and possession of marijuana, dismissed.
Otis E. Allen Jr., 43, no fixed address: criminal trespass, warrant issued for failure to appear.
