Theft: A Bostich nailer, compressor hoses, three-way splitter and a job site radio valued at $450 was reported stolen from a garage on Reichart Avenue, Wintersville. Entry was gained through a side window, deputies said.
Violent: A woman in the 400 block of South Fifth Street told police her boyfriend took her car without permission, returning more than five hours later in a highly intoxicated state, Sunday. Police said she told them the boyfriend became verbally abusive, punching her in the face, hitting her in the head with a fan and biting her left hip. The woman refused medical assistance and declined to press charges, police said.
Report: A woman in the 100 block of Wildon Avenue became irate when her drunk boyfriend allowed her dog to wander off, Sunday. The man told police he’d been up all night drinking but planned to stay away from her. Police returned to the scene not long after because the woman locked him out of the residence and told him to find her dog.
Threatened: Someone painted the word “DIE” in the rear window of a vehicle parked at the rear of a residence in the 500 block of Ross Street, Sunday. Police said the vehicle’s brake line was cut and someone shattered the side window of a neighboring apartment.
Hit and run: A woman said a driver who was backing up while she pumped gas struck her and then left the scene, Sunday. The woman suffered a bruised hip, police said. Surveillance footage showed an older white Lincoln had hit her, police said.
Parked: A man in the 1000 block of McKinley Street said someone threw garbage in the yard and left a note on the window of his vehicle telling him to find a new place to park, Sunday.
