Steubenville

Crash: Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Market and Seventh streets, Wednesday. According to the report, one vehicle collided with the rear of the other. No injuries were reported, and one of the vehicles had to be towed. Rachel A. Kovalski, 29, 16740 state Route 151, Toronto, was cited for assured clear distance ahead.

Assault: A man came to the police station to report he had been assaulted, Wednesday. He told police that a female grabbed his face and attacked him after he refused to give her money. He also told the police a brick had been thrown through the window of his vehicle. Police noted the man had scratches on his face that were bleeding and observed the window smashed and brick on the floorboard. The report was forwarded to the prosecutor.

Fraud: Police were informed that woman used a counterfeit $100 bill to purchase cigarettes at a gas station on South Third Street, Wednesday.

Arrested: Katherine Thorton, 41, 373 Summit Ave., failure to appear, Wednesday.

Arrested: Stacy Antill, 48, 507 Lincoln Blvd., obstruction, Wednesday.

Cited: Michael F. Bonacci, 54, 259 McClellan St., Pittsburgh, speeding; Brandon Starcher, 28, 458 South Fifth St., driving under suspension, expired license plates; Jeffrey Horkulic, 55, 2242 Powell Ave., driving under suspension, expired license plates.

Theft: A mortgage company called the sheriff’s office to report a property in Bloomingdale had been broken into and copper piping had been stolen, Wednesday.

Arrested: Rory Kenney, 46, 196 Sawmill Road, Newcomerstown, probation violation, Wednesday.
