Never Alone event planned
WEIRTON — Never Alone West Virginia will host a drug awareness event from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 30 in the gymnasium of the Lauttamus Communications and Security building, located at 1000 Colliers Way in Weirton. The event is intended to promote drug awareness, education, hope, faith and recovery. Guest speakers will offer messages of awareness and recovery, according to organizers.
A candlelight memorial to remember loved ones who have died take place. Those wanting to participate in the memorial portion of the event are asked to bring a 4 by 6 photo of their loved one. Snacks and fellowship will be offered as well. For information, contact Patti Barnabei at (304) 670-0936.
Pierogi, cabbage roll sale continues
WHEELING — Our Lady of Perpetual Help Ukrainian Catholic Church, located at 4136 Jacob St. in Wheeling, is still accepting Christmas orders for pierogies and cabbage rolls. Pierogies come in flavors of potato and cheese, sauerkraut or potato, cheese and onion.
Orders will be accepted until Dec. 11 by calling (304) 232-1777 and leaving your name, phone number and the food you wish to order on the answering machine. Orders must be picked up between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Dec. 18 in the church annex.
