Spring Hills Ladies Golf League

The members of the Spring Hills Ladies Golf League met for play on July 10.

The league had two guest players for the day, including Jackie Hesske and JoAnn Cicone.

The Play of the Day was entitled, “Throw Out the Par 5’s.”

The winners of the Play of the Day were: Cynde Vidas, A Flight; Veronica Foldi, B Flight; and Carmela Wallace, C Flight.

The winners who had the longest drive were: Neysa McCart, A Flight; Vickie Grant, B Flight; and Pat Carey, C Flight.

The winners who were closest to the pin included: Dru Fleishour, A Flight; Linda Caputo, B Flight; and Tammy Cox, C Flight.

Highland Springs Ladies Golf

The women of the Highland Springs Ladies Golf League played the back nine holes on Monday.

The Play of the Day was entitled “Find the Fairway.”

The winners of the Play of the Day were: Tammy Jackson, first place; Laura Froehlich, second place; and Tammy Koutsky, third place.

The winner of the longest drive on hole No. 15 was Denise Augustine.

The winner who was closest to the pin was Yuko Atwell, who won on her second shot on hole No. 17.

Jackson was the prize winner for having the lowest putts of the day.

Erin Ankrum and Augustine had birdies on hole No. 13.

The women of the Highland Springs Ladies Golf League play nine holes every Monday from May through September.

The league is open to all women golfers throughout the area.

The players meet at the Highland Springs Golf Course, located in Wellsburg.

Tee-off begins at 5 p.m. every Monday.
