PBS entertainer visits libraries

PBS award-winning children’s entertainer J.D. Williamson visited the Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County to combine drawing and stories for families in attendance. The Drawn to the Library program was part of the library’s Color Our World Summer Reading Program. Children taking part with Williamson included, at left, Jimmy Selman, 8, of Weirton, who visited the Toronto Library branch; and at right, Shasta Hall, 12, of Mount Pleasant, who attended the event at the Dillonvale-Mount Pleasant branch. All ages are invited to join the Color Our World reading program, which continues through July 26. This week, children at all branches can pick up a Fourth of July grab-and-go craft, while supplies last. The bag contains supplies to make a patriotic picture frame, sponsored by the Capital Health Nursing and Rehabilitation centers.
