CHESTER — Members of the Chester Lions Club are making final preparations for the group’s annual Fourth of July Car Show, set to take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 4 at Chester City Park.

The event will feature all makes, models and years of vehicles, including cars, motorcycles and trucks. Registration will be held from 10 a.m. to noon the day of the event.

The cost will be $10 per entry. There is a limit of approximately 175 spaces available, according to organizers.

Those who are interested in avoiding registration lines can pre-register their entry, as well as pay at the event.

Participants are asked to arrive early to ensure receiving a spot in the show.

There is no charge to come and check out the vehicles.

Officials announced there will be a total of 36 awards presented to participants. Among the awards will be the Best of Show, the Best GM, the Best Ford, the Best Mopar, the Best Motorcycle and dozens more.

Dash plaques will be distributed to the first 150 registrants, organizers commented.

Door prizes will be given every 15 minutes to registrants.

There will be a disc jockey performing music throughout the event. Officials noted there is to be no outside music played during that time.

A 50/50 drawing will be held, along with multiple additional drawings. Winners of the drawing do not have to have an entry in the show or be present to win, officials stated.

Due to space limitations, no trailers are permitted on the premises. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

For information or to pre-register, call Steve Wilson at (412) 370-7356 or e-mail him at sfwilson55@gmail.com.

In the event of rain, a replacement date has been set between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on July 13.
