GFWCWV holds spring workshop

BETHANY — The Bethany Woman’s Club, members of GFWC West Virginia, hosted the Northern District Spring Workshop April 26 at Bethany Memorial Church.
President Helen Moren served as chairman, with members wearing blue in obsevance of Child Abuse Prevention Month.
Members also collected items for foster care. Northern District President Michelle Beihl welcomed those in attendance.
Helen Gibson, Follansbee 20th Century president and second vice president, provided the words of inspiration.
Jeanne Amidon, first vice president and Weirton Woman’s Club president, led the Pledge of Allegiance and Club Collect.
Guest Speaker Susan Harrison, executive director of CASA, spoke to those in attendance on foster care. Workshops were presented by Sandy Smith, art and craft chairman; Amidon, leadership; and Moren, helpful hints on club reporting.
