Preschoolers and kindergarten pupils attending McKinley STEM Academy were rewarded with water games as a way to mark the end of another school year. Parents donated Slip ‘n Slides and other toys to the 80 children. Those attending enjoyed popsicles and eating their lunch outdoors. Teachers stated the activities correlated with their lessons, including a visit from Steubenville Water Superintendent Jim Jenkins. Preschoolers completed a Success For All thematic unit entitled “Splash into Summer.” Kindergarteners studied “Water Wonders.” Among those making an early splash into summer were preschoolers Michael Whitehurst and GiGi Miletic.
