Spring Fling and Car Cruise-in set

BLOOMINGDALE — The County Road 39 Farm Festival will hold its first Spring Fling and Car and Motorcycle Cruise-in event from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 17 at the Pinkerton-Gross farm, located at 775 county Road 39 in Bloomingdale.

The event will begin with a flag raising ceremony conducted by local veterans.

Following the flag ceremony, a pancake and sausage breakfast will be available. The breakfast will be served throughout the day, according to organizers.

The pancake house will serve sandwiches, chili, nachos and other foods to patrons attending the event.

Officials noted more than 30 craft and yard sale vendors will be on site, selling various items.

The Dairy Jean ice cream truck will sell ice cream and pizza. The Ice Cream Island truck will be selling slushees and cotton candy.

Kathy’s Kettle Corn will pop its famous kettle corn for patrons.

The Jefferson County Humane Society will join the festival, bringing along a few animals that are available for adoption at its agency in Wintersville.

Special guest disc jockey Bobby Cool will entertain and play music during the event and cruise-in, which will feature several hot rods and a 50/50 drawing.

The Farm Festival Committee will hold a drawing for a 2023 Coleman 200 automatic four-wheeler.

Tickets will be $20 each and available at the event.

Only 200 tickets will be sold, of which three will be pulled.

The first ticket will win the four-wheeler, the second ticket will win $100 and the third ticket, $50.

“We are looking forward to seeing everyone there,” organizers commented. “All proceeds from this event will go toward our second-annual County Road Farm Festival, which will take place on Sept. 13-14, with more details to come at a later date.”

Vendor reservations can be made by calling (740) 219-1908.
