Robyn Hoover, a Title math teacher for pupils in grades kindergarten through third at Buckeye North Elementary School, was recognized for her efforts in quickly rendering aid to a child who was experiencing a medical emergency. According to officials, the pupil fell unconscious; however, Hoover remained by his side while staff members contacted emergency personnel. The student was treated and has since returned to school. Hoover was presented with a certificate of recognition from Buckeye Superintendent Coy Sudvary. Officials stated Hoover went “above and beyond the call of duty.”
