Free Presidents Day lunch Monday
STEUBENVILLE — A free Presidents Day lunch will be served from noon to 2 p.m. Monday in the Hellenic Hall at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
Located at 300 S. Fourth St., the meal will be open to everyone throughout the community.
Lunch will consist of turkey over biscuits, mashed potatoes and green beans.
Registration extended for wine tasting
WINTERSVILLE — The Wednesdays in Wintersville Committee announced the registrations being taken for the Feb. 22 Wines Around the World event will be extended until Feb. 21.
Chairman Joel John explained anyone who would like to attend can call (740) 264-5100 for tickets.
Tickets are being sold for $75 each. There is a limit of 45 tickets available, John stated. The evening will include sampling various wines from many countries, a dessert table, finger foods and a live auction.
Libraries to close early
The Brooke County Public Library in Wellsburg and the Follansbee Library will close early on Thursday.
Brooke County will close at 5 p.m. and Follansbee will close at 4:45 p.m. The closures are for the purpose of staff training, officials stated.
Library to screen unique drama
FOLLANSBEE — The Follansbee Library will show the PG-13-rated film “Here,” which tells the stories of people who live on the same plot of land over many years. The film will be shown at noon on Feb. 21.
