Hancock County 4-H holds awards
The event, which took place Dec. 5 at the Hancock County Extension Office, recognized youths from Hancock County’s 4-H clubs, camps and school enrichment programs for their hard work and achievements throughout the year.
During the ceremony, 40 youths were honored with awards for outstanding projects, including state fair entries in categories such as posters, photos and writing samples.
These young achievers were awarded financial support to continue their 4-H endeavors — encouraging future growth and to continue participating in the program. Those with Hancock County 4-H also took time to acknowledge the contributions of the club and camp volunteers who dedicated their time and energy to supporting the program.
“Their commitment helps foster personal growth, leadership and community involvement for the youth of Hancock County,” stated Zachary White, extension agent for Hancock County. “We are incredibly proud of our 4-H members and the positive impact they are making through their projects and involvement in the community. The dedication of our volunteers is key to the success of 4-H in Hancock County, and we are grateful for their continued support.”
